Licensure master's degrees for regulated professions (másteres habilitantes)

Royal Decree 1665/1991, of 25 October, regulating the general system for the recognition of higher education degree programmes, defines regulated professions as those occupations or set of occupations which, directly or indirectly, require a degree in order to gain access to them, exercise them or practise a specific form of them, and which constitute a profession in a member state of the European Union. Access to certain regulated professions requires the successful completion of a training programme including a Bachelor's degree programme and a licensure master's degree for regulated professions (máster habilitante).
