The Arqus European University Alliance brings together the universities of Bergen, Granada, Graz, Leipzig, Lyon, Padua and Vilnius. Arqus Action Line 6 offers various mobility possibilities for doctoral students and lecturers of doctoral programmes.
Under this subline, two annual calls for short-term stays are announced for doctoral students and PDI (teaching and research staff).
Within each call, the following mobility periods are offered: five three-month mobility periods for doctoral students, two mobility periods of between two weeks and one month for doctoral students and two mobility periods of between two weeks and one month for PDI (teaching and research staff).
More details on funding, conditions and past calls can be found at this link.
These annual grants (one per university) aim to promote opportunities for joint doctoral research and the development of collaborative activities (applications for participation in projects, summer schools, etc.). This subline also seeks to expand the network of contacts and collaboration of the research lines and groups of the Arqus Alliance universities. A short stay will be funded for a group of 3 to 5 doctoral students together with 1 or 2 senior research fellows.
There will be two annual calls for applications, the first of which was declared void. Click here.
The objective of this subline is to recruit mentors to guide both master's and doctoral students. The guidance offered can be both academic and business-oriented. The objective of this subline is twofold: (i) to seek mentors and (ii) to announce calls for grants enabling students to visit their mentors.
Due to the current situation, the possibility of mentoring via videoconference has been envisaged.
The name of this subline is “In-depth Skills Program: summer/winter schools on transferable skills and fostering an exchange of participation at summer/winter schools and other training activities offered by one of the partners”. The purpose of this subline is to provide funding for students to attend summer schools. These schools may offer specific contents from one or more doctoral programmes along with some of the following “core” contents. The mobility of teaching staff could be funded using the Erasmus+ programme and the students' mobility along with the funding provided by this subline (three students per year and per Arqus university will be funded).
This subline has been designed with the purpose of holding meetings on some topics of interest for the Arqus Alliance. The chosen topics are:
